Scheduled Workshops

  • David Mayfield

    David is a grammy and emmy nominated producer. A true entertainer, comedian and musician. It’s the strength of his songwriting and musicianship, combined with that charm and personality that keep audiences consistently lining up to join The Parade.

  • Steven Moore

    Steven Moore is a multi-decorated contest banjo champion with 1st place wins at the National Bluegrass Banjo Championship (aka: Winfield), RockyGrass, RenoFest, MerleFest, FreshGrass, Carolina in the Fall, and many state-level championships. 

  • Ryan Wallen

    Ryan comes from a family full of musicians, he and his cousin Brady Wallen are 7th generation bluegrass pickers. Ryan joined The Parade in October of 2022, bringing with him his own set of original songs, 3 of which are on the newest album! 

  • Keith Wallen

    Keith is no stranger to the bluegrass scene, having been around it his whole life. He has been in some great bands himself like, Blue Storm, Timely Arrival and High Tymes. Known for his rhythmic chop and exciting mandolin playing, he also joined The Parade in October of 2022.

  • Graham Bell

    Graham took an interest in music from an early age, hearing his dad play pedal steel guitar with the best country / Western swing bands in Kalamazoo, MI. Seven years of classical piano lessons were followed by trumpet in middle school, before discovering a love for the bass in early adulthood. Bluegrass jams at the G.A.R. Hall in Peninsula were where he first encountered David Mayfield, who he found inspiring and infectious, and when the chance to play in the band arrived in March of ‘22, he jumped at the chance to join The Parade.

  • Gary Schuh

    Gary Schuh is an award-winning fiddler with three National Age Division Championships and multiple state and regional titles. He performs in bluegrass and country genres and contributes to studio projects.

    Gary also serves as a judge at major competitions and as President of The National Oldtime Fiddler’s Contest and Festival, promoting the tradition of Oldtime music.

  • Led by Never Come Down

    With focus on building powerful harmonies to life, you will leave this workshop feeling inspired. Feel free to bring your questions and a bottle of water to keep your voice primed.

  • Led by Corral Creek Bluegrass Band

    Bring your instrument and learn jam basics, including how to lead a song, how to support a soloist, and how to follow along to a song that you may not be familiar with

  • Led by Kyle White: Producer, Engineer, Composer, Musician

    A condensed, simplified and practical approach to understanding the fundamentals of sound principles. This workshop is designed prepare the everyday musician with the tools and understanding to keep the process of sound reinforcement simple. The basics covered are: Signal Flow, Gain Staging, Polar patterns / rejection, Filters, and the 3-to-1 rule & how to apply it on stages and small environments to avoid feedback

  • Bring your mandolin, in tune, and a knowledge of builder/brand, model, strings, and history to share. Tom Brisk will play a few representative sound samples on his mandolin, then exactly the same on your, and every other instrument. You'll hear a wide range of voices!
